Ayako Nakano has involuntary telepathy that picks up the thoughts of everyone around her, which has left her isolated and reluctant to make friends. The boy seated in front of her, Hayato Toda, is the cool ace of the soccer team to the rest of the class, but Ayako hears the daydreams he keeps to himself, many of them about her. Short, comedic chapters follow her trying to keep her secret while the gap between what people say and what they think keeps closing in.
