Sora and his younger stepsister Shiro are reclusive gamers who, under the shared handle Blank, have never lost a match. When they beat a god named Tet at chess, he summons them to Disboard, a world where every dispute, from national borders to people's lives, is settled by games rather than violence. Taking the challenge as the life they always wanted, the siblings set their sights on beating each of Disboard's sixteen races and one day facing Tet again.
