Detective Yousuke Kobayashi is hunting a serial killer when the case turns personal and a second personality, the cold criminologist Kazuhiko Amamiya, surfaces inside him. Diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, he finds that each personality reads crime scenes differently, and that one of them may be linked to the killers he pursues. What begins as a grisly murder investigation widens into a conspiracy reaching far beyond any single case.
