Four strangers who met on a website called Black Paradox gather to die together, going by the handles Maruso, Taburo, Piitan, and Baracchi. Each carries a private reason to want out: a premonition of horror, a doppelganger taken as an omen, a robotics worker outdone by a machine modeled on him, a reflection that feels like a death sentence. Before they can finish what they came for, a string of uncanny near-deaths interrupts them and points the four toward something stranger waiting on the other side.
