Transfer student Kodaka Hasegawa cannot shake the delinquent reputation that the blond hair he inherited from his late English mother earns him at St. Chronica's Academy, and a month in he still has no friends. Then he catches the equally isolated Yozora Mikazuki chatting with an imaginary friend, and the two start the Neighbors Club, a group devoted to the impossible task of teaching its members how to make real friends. The proudly self-absorbed beauty Sena Kashiwazaki soon joins, turning every meeting into a clash of misfits.
