Synopsis
Childhood friends Yutaka "Peco" Hoshino and Makoto "Smile" Tsukimoto have played table tennis together since they were kids, but high school changes the game. The cocky Peco coasts on raw talent while the withdrawn Smile holds himself back, never beating his friend on purpose. When their coach spots what Smile is hiding and pushes him toward the summer tournament, the two face sharper rivals across rival schools, including a Chinese exchange student who nearly made the Olympic team.
