Kaoru Terazaki spends his free time gaming under a female avatar, where he grows close to an online friend named Nami and arranges to finally meet in person. Nami turns out to be a cute girl, Nanami Osaka, who told her overprotective father she was bringing home a female friend. To keep the visit from collapsing, Kaoru agrees to dress as a girl, and the two slide into a romantic comedy of half-truths somewhere between friends and more.
