Two years after the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, Narushima Koga, a hot-blooded street fighter, talks his way into the underground Kengan matches and ends up working under the mild-mannered businessman Yamashita Kazuo. Koga soon crosses paths with Gaoh Ryuki, a sheltered young man who fights almost identically to the legendary Tokita Ohma. As the two newcomers rise through the bouts, the Kengan Association edges toward a confrontation with a rival fighting organization called Purgatory.
