Tarou Kurume, a middle schooler with no interest in romance, takes a ball to the head from classmate Mei Ebino in gym class and wakes up able to see figures floating above the people around him. Each one is the personification of that person's first love, and the cheerful, pink-haired girl drifting above Tarou himself is named Eve. Told that fulfilling a person's first love makes their spirit vanish, Tarou reluctantly starts playing matchmaker across his class.
