Amane Fujimiya lives alone and lets his apartment fall into disorder, eating convenience-store meals and keeping to himself at school. His neighbor is Mahiru Shiina, the most admired girl in class, nicknamed the Angel for her looks and grades. When Amane lends her his umbrella in the rain, Mahiru starts dropping by to cook and clean for him, and the two insist they are nothing more than neighbors even as the arrangement turns into something closer.
