Yūto Sakuraba is an open otaku who admires an online illustrator working under the name Sayane. Kotone Kashiwagi, the popular girl seated next to him at school, overhears him praising Sayane's art, and he has no idea that she is Sayane. A part-time job at his favorite anime shop keeps throwing the two of them together, and they bond over the hobbies they both keep quiet about in class.
