After more than fifty schoolgirls throw themselves under a train in a mass suicide, Saya Kota walks away as the only survivor. In the aftermath she grows fixated on a girl named Mitsuko and begins drifting away from everyone she knows. Her best friend Kyoko watches Saya turn into someone unrecognizable and tries to understand what has taken hold of her, only to be pulled toward the same cult-like group and the supernatural pull behind the deaths. Usamaru Furuya's horror manga reworks the premise of the film of the same name into its own story.
