Takashi Mitsuhashi treats his family's move as a chance to restart as a delinquent at his new high school, and discovers that his classmate Shinji Ito arrived with exactly the same plan. Mitsuhashi fights dirty and only cares about winning; Ito is a stubborn idealist who throws punches in the name of justice. The two square off before they team up, and from there they tear through a long run of brawls with rival schools and tougher street fighters.
