Synopsis
Kintaro Oe is a 25-year-old freeter who met every requirement for a law degree at Tokyo University and then walked out without graduating, choosing to roam Japan on a bicycle and learn life by doing it. He drifts from one odd job to the next, computer programming, housekeeping, teaching, cooking, scribbling notes in his ever-present notebook as he goes. Along the way he keeps crossing paths with capable women whose lives he upends, usually after making a terrible first impression as a clumsy pervert with an outsized libido.
