Rita, Convict 999, is a former assassin serving a year as a teacher at what bills itself as the world's safest kindergarten, where the children of presidents, celebrities and tycoons are schooled behind a wall of armed staff. Every teacher there is a convict working off a pardon, and the job is stopping the assassins and kidnappers who come for the students. Rita has the strength for it and one problem she cannot train away: she falls for a handsome face on sight, including the faces of the killers she is paid to stop.
