Hayato Kasukabe returns to the seaside town of Miura after the grandmother who raised him dies, planning to sell her shop, Café Terrace Familia, and move on. Instead he finds five young women still living and working there who call themselves her family. To keep the café open he takes over its rundown counter and shares the place with Ouka Makuzawa, Shiragiku Ono and the rest, learning a business he never wanted while the household argues over who actually belongs in it.
