In Victorian London, Cain Hargreaves heads a noble family shadowed by a dark reputation and keeps a collector's fascination with poisons. Alongside his manservant Riff and his ten-year-old half-sister Mary Weather, the young earl investigates the strange murders that keep crossing his path. Behind the killings moves Delilah, a secret organization that experiments with raising the dead and turning the revived into killers. This gothic shoujo manga follows on from Kaori Yuki's earlier The Cain Saga.
