Serina Koshino arrives at school to find the lyrics of a love song carved into her desk, and the culprit turns out to be Mizukawa, a standoffish boy a year above her. Put off at first by his frosty manner, she works out that he is awkward rather than cold, especially as he keeps quietly going out of his way to help her. Won over, Serina takes the lead and confesses, and the two start dating from there.
