Kunato Hyouma, a young exorcist of the Saenome clan, has hated tsukumogami, the spirits that possess old objects and take human form, ever since one killed members of his family. To temper his rage, his grandfather sends him to Kyoto to live with Nagatsuki Botan, a university student who shares her home with six friendly tsukumogami as though they were family. Hyouma must learn coexistence under the same roof as the beings he despises.
