Velou is an idealistic boy from a village plagued by werewolf attacks, which the village chief finally answers by hiring help from the Hunters Guild. The hunter who turns up is Grimm, an unassuming young woman who proves ruthlessly good at killing the beasts. After Velou helps her bring down the werewolf stalking his home, Grimm offers him a place in the Guild and a shot at a world where werewolves are nothing but a story.
