Synopsis
Keiichi Maebara has settled into the quiet mountain village of Hinamizawa, but the calm cracks around the annual Watanagashi festival, said to honor the local deity Oyashiro-sama. Every year the festival is shadowed by a death and a disappearance, blamed by villagers on the god's curse. While visiting a maid café, Keiichi mistakes a stranger for his tomboyish friend Mion Sonozaki — only to meet her near-identical twin sister Shion, whose existence he had never heard of. This is the second 'question arc' of the Higurashi mystery saga.
