Gangryong Ma runs his middle school on his fists and believes strength means nothing more than winning the next fight. That changes when a man known as the Lightning Tiger takes him on as a student and teaches him the Enlightenment of Thunder and Lightning, a Korean martial art passed to one student at a time that refines ki into lightning. A year later, men arrive to tell Gangryong his master is dead at the hands of Reunion, an organisation that collects fighting styles, and they take him to the school where Reunion trains its own.
