Satoshi Mochida and his friends stay late at Kisaragi Academy to perform Sachiko Ever After, a paper charm meant to bind them together before their classmate Mayu Suzumoto transfers away. The floor gives out under an earthquake and drops them into Heavenly Host Elementary School, a building demolished years ago that still stands on a spiritual plane through the power of a girl named Sachiko Shinozaki. Scattered across warped copies of the same school, Naomi Nakashima and the others find the bodies of earlier victims and the child spirits hunting them.
