The Hero reaches the Demon Queen's castle to end her and the war together, and finds her waiting with a proposal instead of a fight. She wants the war over too, but not by force: an abrupt victory would collapse both economies, so she offers an alliance and starts teaching the Hero agriculture, trade, and statecraft. Moving among humans under the name of the Crimson Scholar, she sets out to build prosperity on both sides of the front.
