The second arc of Umineko WHEN THEY CRY keeps Battler Ushiromiya arguing against the golden witch Beatrice over whether magic exists at all. Back on the Ushiromiya family's island of Rokkenjima, a fresh round of deaths arrives that Battler has to account for by human means. The way in this time is Shannon, the servant whose bargain with Beatrice has let a romance with George Ushiromiya bloom, and her brother Kanon, uneasy at how far she leans on the witch.
