In a near future where humanity has learned to summon mythical beings called Diva from another dimension, Kazuki Hayashizaki becomes the first male ever chosen as a summoner. Summoning has been a woman's domain because men carry far less mana, so his selection draws scrutiny from every side. His sister Kanae, a magic swordsman, opposes his entry into the summoner academy, where summoners and magic swordsmen regard each other as rivals. Kazuki sets out to prove himself despite the suspicion that follows him.
