Kimitaka Ichinose quits basketball after the friends he once coached surpass him and he overhears them wishing he were dead. On his way to throw out his shoes, he meets Fujimoto, a girl too tall and large-handed for the Spanish dance she loves, about to discard her own. They trade footwear instead, and Kimitaka pushes her toward basketball while finding his own way into flamenco, the pair growing through the dance and sport they each thought they had lost.
