Raizou Hiraga, a sixty-five-year-old retired Tokyo police officer desperate to pay for his sick grandson's treatment, answers a job ad at a used bookstore called Desperado and is hired by a shadowy organization to clean up after its assassinations. His first day pairs him with Miharu Suzukaze, an eleven-year-old killer he must support in the field. The unlikely duo work contract jobs through a world of yakuza and hired guns.
