Synopsis
In a kingdom ruled by humanoid beasts, the Beast King Leonhart is sent a human girl every so often as tribute to be devoured. The 99th of these sacrifices, Sariphi, arrives at the capital without fear and without anyone to return to, ready to accept her death. Her calm intrigues Leonhart, who spares her and keeps her at his side. As Sariphi settles into a court of beasts who resent a human in their midst, the bond between the girl and the king they fear begins to take shape.
