Synopsis
A plague called Troy spreads by touch and makes its victims vanish; only women called Sisters can resist it long enough to ease the seizures of the infected. Sister Elraine, herself infected, discovers that her seizures stop the moment she touches Kiri, an ordinary-seeming boy who appears immune. Unable to let go of his hand without collapsing, Elraine travels alongside Kiri as the two search for the source of his immunity and a way to end the disease.
