Kanako runs a quiet secondhand bookshop until Akio, a teenage boy with the same taste in books, wanders in one day. The two click over their shared reading, and a smitten Kanako quickly starts blurting out clumsy declarations, proposing marriage and cohabitation before they have even gotten to know each other. The slice-of-life romance follows their awkward, book-lined courtship across the shop's shelves.
