Saya is a lab-grown 'Forever Child' who does not age, and she is the one sent out to clean up after the aliens. Their invasion wiped out humanity, and the fumes they left behind carry a disease that kills fast, erupting from the body as crystals. Saya's job is to purify the poisoned ground and comb the desert ruins of fallen cities for anyone still alive, walking the wasteland alone with no guarantee that there is anyone left to find.
