A decade after the parasitic Gastrea virus drove humanity behind walls of Varanium, Rentaro Satomi works as a Promoter in the Tokyo Area, pairing with an Initiator to hunt the monsters. His partner is Enju Aihara, one of the Cursed Children — girls born with Gastrea cells who gain superhuman power. Run by Rentaro's childhood friend Kisara Tendo, their Civil Security agency takes the missions no one else will, standing between the walled city and the creatures outside.
