Moriya Hanazono is a 27-year-old florist whose naturally fierce eyes have scared people off his whole life, even as he finds quiet contentment running the family flower shop. Everything shifts on a delivery to a university, where he finds Hiyori Suzuki hiding in his van to escape a beauty pageant her friends entered her in. He talks her into going through with it, she starts coming by the shop, and the two edge into an unhurried first romance across the counter.
