Sayuki Sakurai is a first-year at Shunei High whose permanent scowl makes classmates mistake her for a bully, even as she longs to fall in love. On a beach trip she meets a charming man who smells faintly of chocolate and tells her he attends her school, though she has never seen him there. Back in class she gets her answer: he is Hagiwara, her new home economics teacher, and her hunt for romance collides with a crush she was never supposed to have.
