This single-volume anthology gathers five short stories Eiichiro Oda drew before One Piece. The title piece follows Gill Bastar, a feared gunslinger who has only ever killed in self-defense and now has a vengeful bounty hunter on his trail. Alongside it sit "Ikki Yako" and "God's Gift for the Future," in which a god decides to teach a pickpocket a lesson as a meteor closes in. The swordsman Ryuma meets a dragon in "Monsters," and "Romance Dawn" is the prototype whose ideas Oda later built into One Piece.
