Hime Kino dreams of voice acting like her idol Sakura Aoyama, the star of the anime Lovely Blazers, and gets into the prestigious Holly Academy's voice actor program to chase it. There she clashes with Sakura's blunt son Senri, who tells her that her voice is awful, while her thick, gravelly tone earns her the nickname "Gorilla Princess" from classmates. Her luck shifts when she reveals a striking prince-like voice, and producer Haruka Yamada offers to launch her, on one condition: she must debut disguised as a boy under the name Shiro.
