Misuzu Kanzaki, twenty-two and a bit of an otaku, is dropped without warning into a field in a world of princes, knights and magic beasts that runs like an RPG, complete with a status screen tracking her health and mana. Her mana pool turns out to be enormous, and once she falls in with a company of knights she leans on her gaming know-how to treat the wounded. Before long the people around her are calling her the Black Healer, while she keeps looking for a way home.
