Jun Naruse is an average company man who loves to draw and falls for Megumi, a woman he meets at an art-supply shop. When gunmen storm his office, Jun shields a little girl from a bullet and is left near death, his survival possible only because a transplant replaced half of his ruined brain with a donor's. He recovers quickly and seems fine, but a creeping change in his behavior raises the question of whose mind now shares his skull.
