Synopsis
When the plant life of Tokyo erupts overnight and begins devouring people, Akira is among the survivors who flee into the city's subway tunnels, separated from his childhood friend Yui in the chaos. Months underground end when dwindling supplies force a group to the overgrown surface, where they meet Iwatobi, a fearsomely capable survivor who trains them. Akira presses on through the green ruins to find shelter and reach Yui again.
