A modern woman wakes up inside the pages of the novel The Abysmal Flower as Roxana Agrece, eldest daughter of a criminal family whose downfall the story has already written. Rather than play the passive side-villain the plot assigns her, she starts steering events herself to dodge the fate waiting for the Agreces. When her father kidnaps Cassis Pedelian, the heroine's older brother, Roxana refuses to wait for the heroine's revenge and moves to keep Cassis alive, since he is the key to her own survival.
