Risa Amakawa is a self-reliant high schooler who prepares for everything and asks help from no one. One rainy evening she patches up a badly beaten delinquent in a park and waves off any thanks, but the boy turns out to be the notorious Zen Ohira, and saving him draws unwanted trouble her way. As Zen keeps stepping in to pull her out of one scrape after another, Risa's insistence on relying only on herself starts to give way.
