Risa Amakawa is a high schooler who carries a spare eraser, a folding umbrella and a first aid kit for every situation and asks help from no one. One rainy evening she patches up a badly beaten delinquent in a park and waves off any thanks, but the boy turns out to be the notorious Zen Ohira, and helping him draws unwanted attention her way. As Zen keeps stepping in to pull her out of one scrape after another, Risa's insistence on relying only on herself starts to give way.
