Kinato lives in the Ruhuna Kingdom, where mana runs through everything, and works alongside his grandmother as a seitai practitioner, steering the mana inside other people to set their bodies right. He wants to be an adventurer, but a healer's touch seems a small thing to build that life on. Then slavers snatch him off the street, and the cell he lands in holds Jien, who captains an adventurers' guild.
