For centuries the sentient dark blade Gruhorn made legends out of the knights, rebels and slayers who carried it. Then it ends up in the greasy hands of a descendant of its first hero, a greedy, bratty first prince who is good for nothing at all. The prince falls onto the blade, and Gruhorn wakes up wearing his fifteen-year-old body. Whether that pampered form is a prison or the sword's own shot at becoming a hero is the question it opens on.
