Yukito Urabe, son of the muscle-bound leader of the Cult of Mitama, is sacrificed by his own father to the goddess the cult serves, and wakes up centuries later in a distant, faithless future where the Imperial State has all but erased religion through science. As the state turns to purging the last believers, Yukito must rediscover his faith and call on Mitama herself to protect the people around him.
