Diehard 2D otaku Amano refuses to count anything as real unless it's flat, hand-drawn, and safely fictional. Cosplayer Mikari Tachibana keeps breaking that rule by recreating his favorite characters in exact, living detail. The first season ended with Mikari closer to him than any cosplay should get; this second season adds fellow cosplayers Noa and Kisaki to their circle, pulling new tension into a group Amano can no longer keep at arm's length.
