Rather than following Luffy's own perspective, this short-story collection turns the lens on the ordinary people who cross paths with the Straw Hat Pirates. Side characters get room to react to Luffy, Sanji, Robin, and the rest of the crew from the outside. Its nine stories range from a pair of Marine brothers at the Summit War to a girl at the revolutionary army's base who wants to become an archaeologist. The book gathers the run from One Piece Magazine together with material written for the collection, in prose rather than as an illustrated manga volume.
