Five centuries after the hero Gram cut him down, the demon lord Veltol is resurrected into Shinjuku, a cyberpunk city-state where magic and machinery have fused into a civilization his old methods no longer fit. Weakened and stripped of his armies, he sets about rebuilding his power the modern way, as a game streamer gathering the faith of an audience. Heroes and demon lords survive here mostly as historical trivia, which Veltol treats less as an obstacle than as an opening.
