Three years as a shut-in end abruptly for the vampire Terakomari Gandesblood when her maid Villhaze announces she's been made a General of the Mulnite Imperial Army's Seventh Battalion, a unit made entirely of soldiers who mutiny against weak commanders. Komari's problem is that she cannot drink blood, which leaves her scrawny, clumsy, and nearly powerless despite her prestigious vampire bloodline.
