Rio, the former slum boy who carries the memories of Japanese college student Amakawa Haruto, is still searching for Celia, the Royal Academy mentor he was separated from. Five Japanese high schoolers are pulled into the same fantasy world in the second season, tying his current life to faces out of Haruto's past. With his contracted spirit Aishia beside him, Rio has to balance his loyalty to the spirit people, his old political ties to the Royal Academy, and these new arrivals who bridge his two lives.
